Skager kampioenschap stikkesnaaie (Schagen bread-slicing championship)

Skager kampioenschap stikkesnaaie (Schagen bread-slicing championship).
On Thursday 31 August at 12:30, before the festive closing meal for the volunteers, the “Skager kampioenschap sitkkesnaaien” for teams will be held.
Stikkesnaaie means the old-fashioned way of cutting bread: apron on, loaf simply against the chest, slicing towards yourself in the hand.
6 different teams of 2 people are taking part: the board, the leaders of the parade, maids, Misses, tourists and members of the Skroifgroep.
A jury will judge the slices of bread on thickness and evenness. The jury, chaired by Rienk Mud, also includes two representatives from the baking world.
