Who will succeed Inge van Dijk?
On Thursday 20 June it is time again: the annual Miss Westfriese Markt election.
The election takes place in the Alpha hall, Loet 13, Schagen. Starting at 20:00.
The Miss election is seen as the unofficial opening of the Folklore season. An important task awaits the chosen Miss: she leads the weekly parade and may take her seat on the beautiful sjees (two-wheeled gig).

Ladies who would like to take part are warmly invited to sign up. You can do so by email: annettetesselaar@hotmail.nl
Spectators are also very welcome; admission is free.

The costume show is open to all ladies, young and old, large or slim, with a bonnet or a farmer's hat. In short: for everyone who wants to show off her costume.

That can be a costume that is years old, but also a new one, whether home-made or not.

Ladies who hire their clothing (and bonnet) from our foundation are of course also welcome to take part.

And it makes no difference whether it is the richer costume with a silver or gold 'ijzer' (head iron), or a simple costume with a farmer's hat.
