Children's Day and old vehicles
Once again it promises to be a wonderful, enjoyable day for young and old.
Attractive activities have been found for everyone.
In front of café ‘De Posthoorn’ old-fashioned children's games are being organised, such as hoop rolling, stilt walking, spinning tops etc... Starts at 12:30.
The children can have their faces painted as clowns for free in front of Piet Pann.
The little clowns also walk in the parade. And straight after this lovely walk they start with the face painting.
Of course Rob Numan with the Goois puppet theatre will be there too. He can be seen and heard opposite the Gevel.
The children can also ride the little merry-go-round for free (A.A.P. Draaimolen right next to the puppet show).
At Circus Open Zeil the children can play freely with various circus materials
under the guidance of Sylvia Wardenaar. She has been a loyal visitor for several years now.
There is also a stall on the Markt where children can pimp up a clog.
In front of Piet Pann, next to the clowns, children can make little dolls under the guidance of
our former Miss Iljona. .
Skroifgroep Skroiverallergaartje (West Frisian writers' group) is here today. They sing and tell
anecdotes in the wonderful, colourful West Frisian dialect in the Slot.
Montmartre; on the culture square (10:00–14:00) you will find artists busy with their creations all day long. Taste the atmosphere, smell the culture. You will find it close to the Markt behind 'De Posthoorn' by the Slot, on the culture square.
In the Nieuwstraat today a large collection of old cars.
Many owners of old cars have signed up with great enthusiasm.
They can be viewed all day.
10:00 The West Frisians gather at the corner of Nieuwe Laagzijde/Stationsweg (café Spoorzicht) for the parade.
10:00–15:00 The tower on the Markt can be climbed for a small fee.
10:30–14:30 Organ playing and religious exhibition in the RC Christoforuskerk
10:45 Start of the parade from the Nieuwe Laagzijde.

11:30 Performance by the children's dance group on the church square on the Markt.

12:30 Start of the children's games.
13:00 to 15:00 Skroifgroep Hoogwoud performs in the Slot.
