This year, if possible, one West Frisian Thursday

This year, if possible, there will be one West Frisian Thursday.

In doing so we are following the expectations of the RIVM (National Institute for Public Health) and the Ministry of Health (VWS). They assume that everyone who wishes will have been vaccinated by early July 202.

Measures such as the 1.5-metre society must have been lifted in order to organise a West Frisian Thursday responsibly.

We have chosen 19 August. That is the 8th Folklore day of a normal season, when the ring tilting is traditionally the highlight of the year.

It will be a limited parade. Only people who have their own West Frisian costume can take part. There will be no clothing and bonnet loan.
