Thank you, Makado!

This afternoon a delegation from our board received a cheque from the Makado shopping centre.
The traditional billiards tournament is held in the Makado centre. At this tournament the shopping centre always likes to present a cheque to a good cause. This year the honour went to the carriage fleet of the Stichting Westfriese Folklore.
The money will be used to renew the hood of a so-called ”selbfahrer” (owner-driven) carriage. The hood is, as can be seen in the accompanying photo report, completely worn out.
Anyone curious about the end result can soon take a look in Museum Vreeburg on the Loet, where the carriage can be admired in all its glory in the new carriage section of the museum.
The cheque was presented by the PR lady of the Makado centre to Rob Hogenes, chairman of the Stichting Westfriese Folklore.
