Parade route changed

Parade route changed.

With a view to the safety of participants and the public, the board of the West Frisian Folklore has decided to change the route of the parade. In consultation with the municipality, this change will take effect from Thursday 14 July 2022. The change means that the procession will no longer pass along the Gedempte Gracht twice, but after the Herenstraat and ‘De Posthoorn’ will turn right into the Torenstraat. The carriages continue on towards the Torenplein, and the walkers leave the parade on the Slotplein at the ‘Stier van Schagen’ (Bull of Schagen).

Walkers should not leave the parade earlier, as that creates the risk of congestion!
