Costume show & Miss election
On Thursday evening 14 June the time will have come.
From 20:00 the annual West Frisian costume show will take place at Markt15, and Miss West Frisian Folklore 2012 will be chosen as successor to Geja Baas-Bosch.
21 candidates have registered so far.

Clothing hand-out
People who want to take part in the parade in authentic West Frisian costume can once again hire it from the Foundation this year.
The hand-out dates are:
Saturday 16 June from 11:00 to 13:00
Monday 18 June from 14:00 to 16:00 and from 19:00 to 21:00
Tuesday 19 June from 19:00 to 21:00
Wednesday 20 June from 14:00 to 17:00.
The prams will be handed out on Tuesday 19 June from 19:00.
Anyone who wants to walk with one of the Foundation's “poppesnor” (doll's pram) is asked to come along then.
Clothing and prams are handed out in the ‘folklore tower’ of the carriage museum in the Muziektuin.

First West Frisian market
The new season starts again on Thursday 28 June.
The last parade is on 30 August.
Refreshment vouchers
This year too we will hand out refreshment vouchers to participants (in costume) in the parade. In exchange you get a cup of coffee worth €1.50. For more expensive drinks the cafés may ask for an additional payment.

ANBI
The Stichting ter bevordering van de Westfriese folklore in Schagen is now registered as a cultural “Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling” (ANBI, a Dutch public benefit organisation). This means that individuals and companies can make donations in a tax-friendly way. For more information see: www.belastingdienst.nl
