NEWSLETTER 2015 APRIL 2015.
It is coming up fast; only a couple of months to go and we will start the 62nd season of the West Frisian Thursdays in Schagen. The first is on 2 July; the last on 3 September. The new leaflet has been available digitally on our website for some time, and the printed version will be distributed in the coming weeks to all kinds of addresses in the municipality of Schagen and the wider area. This newsletter contains important dates and other things worth knowing.
Annual meeting
The annual meeting takes place on Monday 1 June in Café Het Oude Slot on the Markt in Schagen. Starts at 20:00. The agenda and annual documents can be viewed on our website from mid-May. Everyone with a warm West Frisian heart is welcome!
Issue of costumes, bonnets and prams
People who would like to take part in the weekly parade can borrow West Frisian clothing from the Foundation. A modest fee is charged for dry-cleaning and maintenance costs. We also ask for a small deposit, which can be refunded when the items are returned in September.

Monday 15 June: from 14:00 to 16:00 and from 19:00 to 21:00

The items are issued in the ‘folkloretoren’ (folklore tower) of the Rijtuigmuseum (Carriage Museum), in the Muziektuin in Schagen.
Children's dance group
Since 16 April the children's dance group has been practising again every Thursday (from 15:45 to 16:30) on the Slotplein (by the bull). Children aged 4 and over can be registered with Astrid Neve, (wfkinderdansgroep@ziggo.nl).
Costume show and Miss election
Who will succeed Ina Broekhuizen as Miss Westfriese Folklore?
On Thursday 18 June (from 20:00) the costume show and the Miss election will take place. This time in Hotel Igesz, where we have more changing space.
