New Year's wishes from the board

From the board
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the entire Folklore season was cancelled this year. From numerous reactions it has become clear to the board that many people missed the West Frisian market days. The board, too, has felt a ‘sense of emptiness’.
Hopefully we will be able to organise a splendid season again next year. There is no certainty about this for the time being. Much will depend on the availability of a reliable vaccine and the progress of the vaccination programme. In early March 2021 the board will have to make the decision, in view of the situation at that time: go ahead or cancel again. After all, everyone needs to know in good time how things stand. It is clear that a parade cannot be organised in a ‘one-and-a-half-metre society’. So let's keep our fingers crossed that we get the better of the virus in the coming months.
Of course, in 2021 we are again counting on everyone who holds the Folklore dear. Be ready if the West Frisian Thursdays can go ahead, and don't drop out if, unfortunately, they cannot. In that case we will set our sights on 2022 with confidence!
