Jessica de Vos is Miss 2013

Jessica de Vos from Medemblik was crowned Miss Westfriese Folklore 2013 this evening. In the packed and warm hall of Markt 15, Jessica came out on top. The candidates showed their mostly home-made costumes; the fabrics used came from all over the world.
The finalists were: Marga Brandjes, Tonnie Stam, Dicky Snijders, Nel van Es, Jessica de Vos and Sara Kalis; in the end Jessica became number 1. As a reward she may show herself off for 10 Thursdays beside Simon Kroone on the sjees (traditional two-wheeled gig).
