Dance with the children’s dance group

WEST FRISIAN FOLKLORE CHILDREN’S DANCE GROUP IS BACK IN REHEARSAL!

The new folklore season is coming into view again.

Soon the children’s dance group will start learning the dances for the ten West Frisian Thursdays in Schagen.

The children walk in the parade and dance to nostalgic music on the stage in front of the church on the Markt for a large audience.

And who doesn’t know them: ‘als m’n vader en m’n moeder naar de markt toe gaan’ (when my father and my mother go to the market), ‘de driekusman’ (the three-kiss man), ‘schoenlappertje’ (the little cobbler), ‘de poppenkraam’ (the doll stall) and many more songs like these.

Rehearsals start on Thursday 14 April, from 15:00 to 15:45.

They take place on the Slotplein (= the little square with the bull behind “De Posthoorn/Peetoom”, opposite Cultuurhuis Markt 18).

Boys and girls aged 4 and over can be signed up with:

Astrid Neve (wfkinderdansgroep@ziggo.nl) and from 14 April also every Thursday on the Cultuurplein.
