Coachmen's meeting

Last night it was time again for the coachmen's meeting.

Well before eight o'clock almost all the coachmen for 2024 were already raring to go outside the Carriage Museum to start the meeting.

This time Siem Huijberts and Michel Bakker chaired the meeting together.

The meeting began with a medical update from Siem, after which a minute's silence was held for the late coachman Bert Gutter.

Everyone is really looking forward to the new season. There was still some shuffling of horses, coachmen and carriages that only Siem understood, but it will all work out in the parade!

The coachmen did emphasise that the walkers must keep walking, because the horses hate standing still.

What does stay the same is the departure time from the Muziektuin: on odd-numbered days at 10:25 and on even-numbered days at 10:25.

The foundation has been laid for a fine, safe parade in the coming season.
