Closing meal for volunteers

Dear folklorist,

This Thursday is already the last West Frisian Thursday. This year, too, there were nine instead of ten, as the day of the traditional costumes unfortunately had to be cancelled because of the heat. Even so, we can look back on a fine folklore season, and to round it off in a fitting and above all convivial way, we will once again have a free joint lunch on this closing day. This lunch is offered by Café Restaurant ‘de Posthoorn’ and bakery 'Slijkerman’. The meal will start at around 13:00, as the coachmen would also like to join in. Like every Thursday, they first have to put the horses and carriages away properly. Please also tell people you know who walk or help about the lunch, as not everyone receives the newsletter and/or is on Facebook.

Let's make the last Thursday a great day, with a convivial joint lunch, talking over the past season and looking ahead a little to 2020.

If it rains, the lunch will be held in the ‘Makado’ shopping centre.

On Wednesday 4 September the Westfriese Folklore can be seen on TV in the programme ‘Zo goed als nieuw’. The broadcast starts at 21:30 on SBS 6.

The posts below also give the return dates for the borrowed clothing. If you cannot make those dates, have someone else return the clothing.
