Ten summer Thursdays in Schagen, just like around 1900
Climb the tower on the West Frisian Thursdays. You can do so from 10:00 to 15:00 for a small fee: children pay €2 and adults €3, and the proceeds go to the Folklore. Not only is the way up beautiful, so is the view from the tower: from the coast to Lutjewinkel and from Tuitjenhorn to Oudesluis, it is all clearly visible. What's more, you can take lovely photos; head tower keeper Gijs van Duin will be glad to welcome you.
