Cheque from the Rotary

SCHAGEN – The Schagen Rotary's amaryllis bulb campaign has raised €1,500 for the Folklore in Schagen.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Folklore's treasurer Max Hopmans received a cheque from Jeroen Meegdes, president of the Schagen Rotary.

In December, amaryllis bulbs were sold at Mulder Optiek in Schagen, among other places. For about 78 years now, many amaryllis bulbs in luxury gift packaging have found their way into people's living rooms in this way.

The Folklore will use the money for a special anniversary book about 70 years of Folklore in Schagen. That book is due to be ready before the Miss election at the end of June. (Text and first photo by Noordkop Centraal).
