Anneke steps down as ringmaster

Anneke steps down as ringmaster.

After a period of three years, Anneke Molenaar has decided to step down as ringmaster (spreekstalmeester) of the Westfriese Folklore. The large, long-term investment of time can no longer be combined with other activities in her private life.

Anneke was the first female ringmaster in the history of the Folklore. She performed this role in an excellent manner. The board regrets, but understands and respects, her decision to stop.

From the coming season Anneke will be succeeded by Bart Jansma. He is no stranger to the world of the Folklore. For many years he was chairman of the Harddraverij (trotting races), and in recent years he has been part of the jury at the ring tilting.

The board of the Folklore looks forward to a pleasant collaboration with Bart as the new ringmaster.
